Revive Adserver (Formerly OpenX Source) lives on!

We are genuinely pleased to announce that the best open source ad server (former OpenX Source) software is going to live on and continue being actively developed – meet the Revive Adserver project. As we are all so well aware, OpenX Corporation has been blatantly mistreating our favourite software for years – slowly degrading support and development. Even though fairly popular in the community, the project was stagnating, until finally, the company decided to drop it completely and concentrate on enterprise solutions. Thankfully, a small team of dedicated enthusiasts and major OpenX Source code contributors was ready to pick it up and give it a second life in a form of Revive Adserver (http://www.revive-adserver.com).

So far, the team has been concentrating on stripping away all of the legacy OpenX and OpenX Market branding, as well as fixing some of the most critical outstanding bugs and generally bringing the software up to date. The project is hosted on github (https://github.com/revive-adserver/revive-adserver) and it looks like new code commits are coming in almost daily, so get ready for some exciting updates to come very soon!

The team also launched a new support forum (http://forum.revive-adserver.com), we are certain that it will expand and grow very quickly, once the majority of the current OpenX Source users are going to migrate to Revive Adserver.

Please stay tuned for more.
